New to The Tabernacle?
Visiting any church for the very first time can be a tough experience. Where to go? What to wear? What time to show up? What's here for my kids? What can I expect? These and many more questions surface. Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to The Tabernacle will be refreshing, friendly and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people and a place where you feel welcomed and "at home"! Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.
1. Finding and navigating the church buildings.
We are located on the Access Road in Covington, Georgia, about two miles from the town square. Click here for directions. When you pull into the parking lot, you'll notice two buildings. The one on the right is the main Church building. The building on the left is the Beulah Building, which houses our Pastor’s office, the main Church office, our nursery and most of our adult Sunday School classes. Our Children’s Church, Student Ministries and their Sunday School classes, along with a few of our adult classes, are located downstairs. You may drive around the building to the back if you wish to avoid walking down the stairs. Anyone will be more than happy to show you to our nursery, the restrooms, your child’s class or your class.

2. Where should I park?
As our guest, please feel free to park in any of our marked "Visitor" parking spaces. We also have many handicapped and senior spaces marked for your convenience. Our Complimentary Valet Parking is available to everyone. It is a special blessing to those mothers with small children, the elderly and our visitors. If you want to take advantage of this service, please pull up to the main entrance. We have trustworthy men who will park your car and then bring it back to the main entrance at the conclusion of the service.

3. What's here for my kids?
Starting with an excellent nursery, there is something special for every age child from birth through high school. For every service, there is a safe, clean and well-staffed nursery for children three years old and under. For children four years old through sixth grade, there are fun, friendly and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child. Students seventh grade through twelfth grade will enjoy their own special Sunday School class.
4. What is the service schedule?
Sunday Morning Service 10:30 A.M.
Sunday Evening Service 5:00 P.M.
Wednesday Night Service 7:00 P.M.
Wednesday Children's and Student Ministries 7:00 P.M.
5. What should I expect in the services?
You will enjoy beautiful and inspiring music from the choir and other special music. The music is followed by a clear, helpful and encouraging Bible message. The best way to get to know people at The Tabernacle is to visit one of the nine adult Bible classes.
6. How should I dress?
There is not a dress code at The Tabernacle for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” attire; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcomed and comfortable on your visit with us.
7. Am I expected to participate in the offering?
No. We don't invite you to The Tabernacle for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering.
If there's something we've missed on this list, just give us a call or ask someone when you arrive. Whether you're new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it's been a long time since you've attended church at all, we hope your first experience at The Tabernacle will be a good one. We exist to serve the Lord and your family, and we are looking forward to meeting you personally. We hope you'll feel right at home from the very first moment you walk in the door. Let us know how we can serve you better, and we hope to meet you this Sunday!
